PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drain rainwater poured on an external floor of a building or water sprayed when cleaning (draining of overflowed water) by the diffusion action of water to prevent the water from being collected on a floor surface after draining the water. SOLUTION: This floor surface structure of the external floor of the building is provided with a wall 20 being a vertical part of the building constituting the building, a water resistant layer 4 formed in a region of the external floor of the building sandwiched between mutually facing walls 20 and being a flat waterproofing backing face formed by utilizing the skeleton slab 1 face of the building as it is, a floor layer 2 fixed on the water resistant layer 4 and forming a floor surface 2a having a higher level than that of the water resistant layer 4, and a drain ditch 10 having a drain hole 11 communicating with the outside of the building and formed while being surrounded by a bottom face 10a having a lower level than that of the floor surface 2a, the wall 20, and the side face of the floor layer 2. A floor ditch 3a dividing a region of the floor surface 2a and having an end continuous with the drain ditch 10 is provided on the floor layer 2, and the depth d of the floor ditch 3a is equivalent to a step h generated on the floor surface 2a or more than the step h.
