PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus capable of making users easily follow guidance routes by displaying auxiliary objects indicating directions, in which guiding objects are present and traveling directions indicated by the guiding objects, when the guiding objects are not displayed or that a part of the guiding objects is displayed. SOLUTION: The navigation apparatus is provided with a route search part for searching for guidance routes; a guiding object display control part for superposing and displaying the guiding objects on guidance routes; a state determining part for determining the state of presence of the guiding objects to a display region; and an auxiliary object display control part for superimposing and displaying auxiliary objects that indicate directions in which guiding objects are present, when the state determination part has determined that the guiding objects are present outside the display region, and/or superimposing and displaying auxiliary objects that indicate traveling directions indicated by the guiding objects, when the state determination part has determined that part of the guiding objects are present within the display region.
