摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for manufacturing a thin sliced specimen wherein the direction of a biosample is set approximately in a fixed direction with respect to a slide glass regardless of the direction of an embedding block, and to provide a method of manufacturing the thin sliced specimen. SOLUTION: The device 1 includes a cutting mechanism 2 for cutting the embedding block B; a slide glass rotating stage 20 capable of rotating the slide glass P on a plane approximately in parallel with a placing surface 20a on which the slide glass P is placed; a conveyance mechanism 4 capable of receiving and conveying a thin sliced piece B1, and delivering the thin sliced piece B1 onto the slide glass P; and a control part 5 for detecting direction data showing the direction of the biosample S1, and rotating the slide glass P by the slide glass rotating stage 20 so that a relative direction between the biosample S1 included in the thin sliced piece B1 and the slide glass P becomes a direction set beforehand based thereon.
