PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation system free from diffusion of a contaminated gas to a range of worker's respiration, even when the worker necessarily approaches a half-finished product and enters its upper space. SOLUTION: This ventilation system comprises a work table 3 for processing the half-finished product, a supply rack 1 disposed at one side of the work table 3, and a suction rack 2 disposed at the other side of the work table 3. The supply rack 1 is provided with a gate-shaped supply slit 11 formed by a horizontal slit 11a and vertical slits 11b at both sides. The suction rack 2 is provided with a gate-shaped suction slit formed by a horizontal slit 11a and vertical slits 11b at both sides.
