PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ranking cycle improving reliability by preventing reduction in viscosity of lubricating oil even though rotational speed is varied, in a ranking cycle in which a pump is connected to an expander. SOLUTION: This ranking cycle is provided with the pump 130 circulating working fluid in the cycle, and the expander 110 producing driving force by expansion of working fluid heated by waste heat of a heating apparatus 10. A pump driving shaft 132 of the pump 130 is connected to an expander driving shaft 118 of the expander 110. Adjusting means 138, 139 for adjusting the substantive discharge rate of the pump 130 or the expander 110 are provided to at least one of the pump 130 and the expander 110 so that pressure on the high-pressure side of the cycle is set to a predetermined pressure or below.
