PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily evaluate the deterioration of ropes and sheaves of an elevator. SOLUTION: In this rope elevator, a car 1 is connected to a counter weight 6 with a rope 2, and a sheave 4 around which the rope 2 is wrapped is driven to lift the car 1. A governor pulley 11 is disposed on the side lower side and the side upper side of the car 1. A loop governor rope 10 is wrapped around the governor pulley.
