PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector assembly in which contacts can surely be connected by surely fitting a male type member into a female type member of the connector. SOLUTION: A slide member 60 is provided in a plug housing 31 and, when a fitting state of the plug housing 31 and a receptacle housing 21 is incomplete, the slide member 60 is pushed in to have the plug housing 31 completely fitted into the receptacle housing 21. Under a state where an engaging pawl 66 is hooked to a protrusion 44 of the receptacle housing 21 and floating from the plug housing 31, an upper end portion of the slide member 60 preferably shall not project above the upper surface of the plug housing 31.
