PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant exerting excellent odor-eliminating effect according to the change of living conditions and enabling various formulations depending on applications. SOLUTION: The esters of diglyoxylic acid, glyoxylic acid hemiacetal and monoglyoxylic acid have an excellent effect of eliminating a malodor derived from hydrogen sulfide or ammonia, and can be provided in a water-based, oil-based or gelled form.
