PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring optically size, delivering speed and delivering direction of ink liquid droplets and an apparatus for measuring them. SOLUTION: Shades formed by exposing the ink liquid droplets to parallel light are identified by image processing to measure the shapes and the sizes of the ink liquid droplets. In addition, the amount of deviation of the shades generated by shifting the delivering timing of the ink liquid droplets by a definite time is obtained by the image processing to quantify flying speed and flying direction of the ink liquid droplets.
