PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for casting which is light and has such a sufficient high temperature strength as to maintain its shape even in casting so that it shows excellent shape maintainability of a cast article. SOLUTION: The structure for casting contains inorganic fiber, inorganic particle, resol-based phenolic resin having a gel time of 1.5 minutes or longer at 150°C, and thermoplastic resin.
