The interior device (2) has a motor vehicle seat (14), which includes a seat part (22) pivotable around a pivot axis (26) and a backrest (24) that is arranged pivotably around another pivot axis (28). The seat part and the backrest are pivotable in a common vertical plane, which divides a motor vehicle interior into a front area and a rear area. The vertical plane extends transverse to a driving direction (8), and the motor vehicle seat is adjustable in a direction of the front area. The seat part and the backrest are lockable in the vertical plane.
