The input unit (10) has sensors for production of a distinguishable position and/or movement signals for three space directions. The sensors are movement sensors that are used for determining translation and rotatory movements of the input unit. The translation and/or rotatory movements are detectable in the space directions arranged perpendicular to each other by the movement sensors. A determination of translation and/or rotatory movements takes place with the help of acceleration sensors.
