A vehicle seat system including a seat bottom and a seat back wherein the seat back is prevented from rotating by a latch mechanism (33) connected to the seat back. The latch mechanism (33) is configured to be disengaged to permit rotation of the seat back to a flat position adjacent the seat bottom. The seat system includes a motor (23) for both disengaging the latch mechanism (33) and driving the rotation of the seat back.
