<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that recording and reproducing can be performed while the degree of freedom in design of a recording layer of an optical recording medium is enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: The basic recording layer 20 is arranged in a position of 90 to 110 μm with respect to a light incident surface of the optical recording medium 1 and the recording layers 22, 24, 26 are arranged so as to parallel to the basic recording layer.
