PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram recording method which can record hologram by causing interference in Fourier transform patterns of a 0th order component and a higher order component of a signal light with a very simple method and can also reproduce the signal light with a high S/N ratio without separating the 0th order light from the obtained reproduction light, when reproducing the hologram by irradiating the recorded hologram with the 0th order light, and to provide a hologram recording device, a hologram reproducing method, a hologram reproducing device and an optical recording medium.

SOLUTION: A signal light which is spatially modulated so that digital data is expressed with a contrast image is generated, the optical recording medium is irradiated with the Fourier transformed signal light so that the 0th component of the signal light may focus on the outside of the optical recording medium, and a diffracting grating is formed by interference between the 0th order component of the signal light and the higher order component of the signal light in the optical recording medium, thereby recording the digital data represented by the signal light as a hologram.
