<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time required to start playback after changing over the recording layers different in physical format in a multi-layer optical disk player. <P>SOLUTION: The multi-layer optical disk player has an information read section to read content information and data structure information from a multi-layer optical disk having recording layers different in physical format, a memory to store the content information and data structure information read by the information read section, a playback section to reproduce the content information read by the information read section based on the stored data structure information from the multi-layer optical disk, and a controller to restart reproduction of the recording layer after changeover by detecting and storing the servo adjusting value for the recording layers different in physical format on the multi-layer optical disk when the recording layer is changed and reading to use the servo adjusting value of the recording layer after changeover from the memory. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
