<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably enlarge a character text of decorated characters, such as shadowed characters and trimmed characters, and a relatively complicated on-screen picture. <P>SOLUTION: Color codes are divided into groups in accordance with attribute discrimination information, and an attribute of a noticed pixel is discriminated on the basis of a color code value, and an interpolation pattern is selected by pattern matching of attributes of neighboring pixels to perform enlargement processing. Furthermore, processing in the case of excess over an image area of a pattern matching range is prescribed, and interpolation patterns are divided into groups per attribute of the noticed pixel, and an interpolation pattern group is selected in accordance with an attribute discrimination result of the noticed pixel to adaptively change an interpolation method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
