<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical component which reduces the influence of clad mode light. <P>SOLUTION: The optical component 7 includes: an optical fiber 12 for amplification; an optical fiber 15 optically connected to the optical fiber 12 for amplification; and glass tubes 25 and 26 having a through hole through which blank optical fiber parts 12b and 15b are inserted, respectively. The light refractive index of the glass tubes 25 and 26, and the light refractive index of the clads 21 and 23 of the optical fibers 12 and 15 are substantially equal to each other, and the inner peripheral faces 29 and 32 of the through holes are fused to the clads 21 and 23 on the other end parts 25b and 26b of the glass tubes, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
