<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing toner contamination inside the image forming apparatus body and on the surface of a unit to be attached/detached by a user, and eliminating the need of a toner suction duct and the replacement of a toner filter. <P>SOLUTION: An image carrier 10 and a developing device 20 are formed integrally as a unit, the rotating directions of the image carrier 10 and a developing roller 21 are set so as to generate, such an air flow (a) that travels from a developing position D between the developing roller and the image carrier toward an intermediate transfer body 31. A first sheet 40, whose base 41 is disposed in the developing device 20, is disposed so that the sheet 40 crosses the air flow (a), and the leading end 42 thereof may be adjacent to the surface 11 of the image carrier, a clearance C1 formed between the leading end 42 of the sheet 40 and the surface 11 of the image carrier is disposed adjacent to the surface 31 of the intermediate transfer body, and the base 51 of a second sheet 50, arranged on the side opposite to the first sheet across the developing position D, is disposed in the developing device, and the leading end 52 of the second sheet 50 is disposed adjacent to the surface of the image carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
