PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which enhances a suppression effect against columnar resonance of a peripheral groove by also disposing a Helmholtz resonator even in a shoulder part without sacrificing steering stability. SOLUTION: When a tire peripheral direction extension length of an air chamber 6 of the resonator 5 is represented by L<SB>1</SB>, and the tire width direction extension length is represented by L<SB>2</SB>, L<SB>2</SB>is made≤L<SB>1</SB>at least in the resonator 5 located in a land part except the shoulder part 4C.
