PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grout for grouting, being injected even into the ground of sandy layers or silt layers and forming improved objects excellent in durability, water cut-off property and solidifying property, and to provide a method of grouting. SOLUTION: The grout for grouting comprises sol of a silica particle having 350-750 m<SP>2</SP>/g specific surface area, 50-100% S value, 5-40 cP viscosity and 10-80 molar ratio of silica and an alkali metal as SiO<SB>2</SB>/M<SB>2</SB>O (wherein, M is an alkali metal). The method of grouting comprises injecting into the ground the grout for grouting. The grout for grouting is preferably added with a water-soluble polymer such as polyacrylic acid.
