PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive support device capable of enhancing convenience for a user. SOLUTION: The drive support device for informing a vehicle driver of whether a prescribed point passing time is early or late compared with a reference time detects own vehicle position, stores a detected position and the passing time in the position while correlated each other, and informs the own vehicle driver of whether the passing time when the own vehicle passes a prescribed point on an ordinary route is early or late compared with the passing time in the past, when the own vehicle is determined to travel on the ordinary route. The drive support device acquires congestion information from the prescribed point up to a destination on the ordinary route, and informs the own vehicle driver of it, while conformed with the timing when the own vehicle passes the prescribed point.
