PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and an apparatus which decrease the visibility of streak irregularities even when a recording head is attached at a tilt. SOLUTION: In the constitution using the recording head with sub nozzle arrays (c3 and c4) arranged held between a first and a second nozzle arrays (c1 and c2), the image forming method has the measuring process of measuring an inclination amount to a relative movement direction of the recording head, the correction judging process of judging on the basis of the obtained inclination amount whether or not correction is necessary, and the correcting process of carrying out droplet hitting by using at least a part of sub nozzles that belong to the sub nozzle arrays (c3 and c4) in place of droplet hitting by at least a part of main nozzles that belong to the first and second nozzle arrays (c1 and c2) when it is judged to carry out correction.
