PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system for keeping secret which terminal equipment is communicating with which terminal equipment in establishing communication between terminal equipment. SOLUTION: Incoming side terminal equipment 10A notifies an incoming side terminal 30B of its own telephone number by a communication network 65(telephone line network: second network) through a second transmission/reception part 17 in the case of transmission. Afterwards, the transmission side terminal equipment 10A and the incoming side terminal equipment 30B respectively generate an authentication code from its own telephone number and the telephone number of the other party and random numbers generated by itself, and transmit the authentication code through the Internet 62 (first network) to a repeater system 50 by the first transmission part. The repeater system 50 receives each authentication code to be transmitted from the two terminals, and verifies whether or not the authentication codes are matched, and when they are matched, the repeater system 50 performs data relay on the Internet 62 (first network) between two terminals.
