PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver capable of avoiding troubles of giving a viewer discomfort, accompanying shut-down in broadcasting of ground analog broadcast signals. SOLUTION: The television receiver comprises: a first tuner 11a and a second tuner 11b for receiving broadcasting signals in a plurality of broadcasting formats containing ground analog broadcast; a display 16 for displaying images, based on the broadcasting signals outputted from each of tuners 11a and 11b, a selector 12 for switching a broadcasting format for the broadcasting signals outputted to the display 16; a remote control unit 18 having operation keys for directing execution of switching of the broadcasting format; and a control portion 20 for making the selector 12 perform switching of the broadcasting format in a predetermined switching sequence for each operation of the operation keys. The control portion 20 makes the selector 12 perform switching of the broadcasting format in an new switching sequence that excludes the ground analog broadcast from the predetermined switching sequence, when the operation keys are operated, after detecting the end of the ground analog broadcast.
