PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor which can inhibit decrease in insulation resistance, accompanying the temporal variations in high-temperature load test and can keep high insulation, even if reduction treatment is carried out, in a multilayer ceramic capacitor which is constituted of a dielectric porcelain, constituted of crystal particles of barium titanate and crystal particles of barium calcium titanate as the dielectric layer. SOLUTION: BT (Barium Titanate) crystal particles 9b and BST (Barium Strontium Titanate) crystal particles 9a constituting the dielectric layer contain magnesium, rare earth element, and vanadium, and the ratios of each contents of Mg and rare earth element contained in the center portion of the BT crystal particles 9b to each contents of Mg and rare earth element of the surface of the BT crystal particles are larger than the ratios of each of the contents of Mg and rare earth element contained in the center portion of the BST crystal particles 9a, with respect to each of the contents of Mg and rare earth element of the surface of the BST crystal particles.
