PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen whose directivity characteristic is easily changed and where luminance of image light viewed from an observer in either right or left direction is improved. SOLUTION: The screen 6 is equipped with a Fresnel lens 61, a lenticular lens 62, black stripes 63 and a viewing angle adjusting member 64. The lenticular lens 62 emits parallel beams changed by the Fresnel lens 61 from space between the black stripes. The viewing angle adjusting member 64 is equipped with a plurality of viewing angle adjusting elements 641, and partial light beams LS divided by the cylindrical lens 621 and the black stripes 63 are made incident on the back surfaces 642 of the respective viewing angle adjusting elements 641 respectively. By moving the viewing angle adjusting member 64 in either right or left direction, the optical paths of the partial light beams LS are changed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
