METHOD OF DETERMINING NONSPECIFIC TURBIDITY OF TEST SAMPLE AND REAGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of determining whether a test sample develops nonspecific turbidity or not in a clinical analysis using the test sample of biological origin. SOLUTION: The method of determining nonspecific turbidity of a test sample of biological origin comprises performing the following three processes (1) to (3): (1) a process for monitoring absorbance changes by addition of a first reagent including a component susceptible to development of nonspecific turbidity due to a protein factor to a test sample of biological origin; (2) a process for monitoring absorbance changes by addition of a second reagent including a component capable of canceling the nonspecific turbidity due to the protein factor; and (3) a process for determining the presence or absence of nonspecific turbidity of the test sample from a pattern of absorbance changes between each of the processes, and for determining whether it is due to a protein factor or a lipid one if it is nonspecific turbidity.
