PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitrogen oxide concentration measuring apparatus for measuring the concentration of NO<SB>2</SB>by changing over between channels and capable of accurately measuring the concentration NO<SB>2</SB>even in the case of sample gases of which the concentration of nitrogen oxide sharply varies. SOLUTION: The nitrogen oxide concentration measuring apparatus 1 computes: the concentration of NO; the concentration of NO<SB>2</SB>; and the concentration of NO<SB>x</SB>on the basis of a first NO detection value acquired on a sample gas passed through a converter CV and a second NO detection value acquired on a sample gas not passed through the converter CV. A sample gas is temporarily stored in buffer tanks BT1 and BT2 provided on the side more upstream than the converter CV, and the first NO detection value and the second NO detection value are acquired on a sample derived from the buffer tanks BT1 and BT2 after the completion of its storage.
