PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous microbiocidally active isothiazolone compound composition not containing an evaporable organic compound. SOLUTION: This aqueous isothiazolone compound composition is characterized by mixing an isothiazolone compound represented by formula (I) (R<SB>1</SB>is H or an alkyl; R<SB>2</SB>and R<SB>3</SB>are each H, a halogen, an alkyl, or an aralkyl, or R<SB>2</SB>and R<SB>3</SB>may together be combined to form a ring or may be condensed to form an aromatic ring) with a polyamine compound represented by formula (II) [X is C or N; Y is H, N, an alkyl group having an amino group at the terminal; (n) is an integer of 5 to 1,200] and water.
