PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device for a plurality of items (works) to be transferred for transferring them in a fully laden condition without omission of a work on the line where the works are mounted even if works transferred in a plurality of lines on the production line are discontinuous and are omitted. SOLUTION: This transfer device is provided with a lead transfer means 10 where lead conveyers 10a are arranged in parallel for transferring each work W on each line from the downstream end of a transfer line L and the first and the second shift conveyers 20x, 20y bridging the lead conveyer 10a and the first line X or the second line Y. The first and the second shift conveyers 20x, 20y are made as sorting conveyers which commonly bridge at least one lead conveyer 10a. A multistage adjustment means 30 where open/close parts 31 are stacked in several stages for dropping works W onto each line X, Y after they are once stocked is provided between each shift conveyer 20x, 20y and each first and second line X, Y.
