METHOD FOR PROTECTING TOMATOES FROM DAMAGE BY NOCTUIDS

A method for protecting tomatoes from damage by noctuids includes settling Trichogramma into agrocenoses. One-two days prior to the beginning of the egg-laying of females of the noctuids of each generation continuous settling of the Trichogramma at the pupa stage is carried out. In the period of mass egg-laying of the noctuid females two settlings of the Trichogramma is carried out with a 5-7 day interval. In the period of apperance of caterpillars of noctuids elder than the third age double settling of the ectoparasite Habrobracon is carried out. Local populations of the Habrobracon caught on tomatoes are used for the settling only.
