IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD

[PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED] An image processing method is provided to detect whether a subject image is a real image by using template data generated from a sampled image. [MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS] In a sampled image of a character, a numerical or the like, an extracting point (22a) is set in the inside of a drawing line that is a little brightness change region in comparison with its circumference, an extracting point (22b) is set in a background of the outside of the drawing line, and pixel data at the extracting points (22a) and (22b) are used, so that a normalized correlation coefficient between the subject image and an image in a judging region I obtained. Since the template data are generated with pixel data at the clear brightness difference and clear contrast extracting points (22a) and (22b), the real image that must be judged to be the same as the template image can be detected precisely through a short time operation.
