<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key system which effectively prevents drunken driving by interlocking with an intelligent key, while a conventional intelligent key system has a problem wherein drunken driving can not be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: The intelligent key 1a is provided with an alcohol detector and a display portion (LED). When receiving a request signal from an intelligent key unit 2, if the alcohol detector does not detect alcohol, a key ID is transmitted.
