<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress shading of an image caused by the variance in image signal writing time for a pixel. <P>SOLUTION: A drive transistor Trd receives current supply from a supply line DSL1 and causes a drive current to flow to a light-emitting element EL according to a signal potential which is written to a holding capacitor Cs. A scanner 104 for control outputs a control signal of a predetermined pulse width to a scanning line WSL1, in order to make a sampling transistor Trs be in a conductive state during a writing period, in a time band when the signal line DTL1 is on a signal potential, and writes the signal potential in the holding capacitor, while adding correction on mobility μ of the drive transistor Trd to the signal potential, at the same time. An auxiliary capacitance Csub is connected to the holding capacitance Cs, and its capacitance value is adjusted in order to correct variance in the luminance of a light emitting element EL, which is caused by an error in writing time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
