<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the processing time for generation and display of a composite stereoscopic image of a plurality of stereoscopic images, and to perform enlargement display when the composite stereoscopic image being displayed has a predetermined portion requested to be enlarged and displayed. <P>SOLUTION: A main image file in which a main stereoscopic image is recorded and a sub image file wherein a sub stereoscopic image is recorded are acquired. The sub stereoscopic image reconstituted according to the main stereoscopic image is put together with the main stereoscopic image to generate a first composite stereoscopic image (composite parallax image of the whole). Further, the main stereoscopic image reconstituted according to the sub stereoscopic image is put together with the sub stereoscopic image to generate a second composite stereoscopic image (composite parallax image of only a sub image arrangement area). As an image file for stereoscopic display, a file in predetermined format is generated which includes the first composite stereoscopic image and second composite stereoscopic image. When the whole of the composite stereoscopic image is requested to be displayed, the first composite stereoscopic image is displayed out and when only the sub image arrangement area is requested to be enlarged and displayed, the second composite stereoscopic image is displayed out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
