PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ridge tile substrate which contributes to weight reduction of a setup for fixing a ridge tile in a ridge structure, allows the operator to easily and inexpensively carry out construction of the ridge structure without requiring a skill, and eliminates the risk of falling of the ridge tile therefrom even if a large earthquake or the like occurs by virtue of rigid screwing of the ridge tile to the ridge tile substrate when the former is fixed to the latter, to thereby pay attention to the earthquake resistance thereof, and to provide a ridge structure using the ridge tile substrate. SOLUTION: The ridge tile substrate 2 is formed of a long member made of a foamed synthetic resin and having a constant cross section, and consists of a central base portion 2A to be fixed to a skeleton, and wing portions 2B extending outward from both sides of the base portion 2A along a longitudinal direction.
