PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit high-frequency discharge of a high-viscosity liquid by improving refillability and improving discharge efficiency. SOLUTION: The liquid discharge head includes a plurality of nozzles discharging droplets, a plurality of pressure chambers communicating with the nozzles, a common liquid chamber arranged on the side opposite to the side of the pressure chambers where the nozzles are formed, communicating with the pressure chambers through supply routes provided in the pressure chambers and storing the liquid to be supplied to the pressure chambers, and an actuator board provided with two independently driveable piezoelectric elements for the pressure chambers. The first piezoelectric element gives a pressure variation to the liquid in the pressure chambers and the second piezoelectric element varies channel resistance of the supply routes.
