<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when stripping a middle part of coating of a coated wire to fix a terminal thereto in various electric components, the core is likely to be damaged, compared with when stripping an end part thereof, so that there are few devices to efficiently implement the above operation. <P>SOLUTION: The portions near the both sides of a strip position of the coated wire is clamped and a tension is applied thereto, then a pair of cuts of a desired length are formed in the axial direction by means of a slit knife at opposite positions of the coating. From a direction shifted by 90°from the cut in the axial direction, cuts in the circumferential direction are formed simultaneously at the both ends of the cut in the axial direction by means of a pair of strip knifes. While the pair of strip knifes are set into the coating, the strip knifes are brought close to each other, thus stripping the coating between both cuts in the circumferential direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
