PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide crystalline strontium aluminate nanotubes, crystalline strontium aluminate nanorods and their producing methods. SOLUTION: Amorphous strontium aluminate nanotubes are generated by heating the aqueous solution of the mixture of aluminum nitrate nonahydrate, strontium nitrate, urea, n-butanol and cetyltrimetylammonium bromide at 115-150°C and for 10 hours or more in a pressure vessel and then the crystalline strontium aluminate nanotubes having an outside diameter of 150-200 nm are produced by heating the nanotubes at 1,250-1,350°C and for 3-10 hours. Alternatively, amorphous strontium aluminate nanorods having a diameter of 50 nm or less are generated by heating the aqueous solution at 160-200°C and for 10 hours or more in a pressure vessel and then the crystalline strontium aluminate nanorods are produced by the same heat-treatment as above.
