PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable partition with high soundproof performance, which can be easily installed. SOLUTION: A partition unit 1 comprises a panel portion 10 which forms a main body, and moving means 21 and 22 which are provided for at least either of the upper and lower ends 15 and 16 of the panel portions 10. This movable partition W is formed by connecting the plurality of partition units 1 together. The partition unit 1 comprises flexible upside skirt portions 31 and 31 which are attached to the whole of upper edges 11 and 11 of the panel portion, and flexible downside skirt portions 32 and 32 which are attached to the whole of lower edges 12 and 12 of the panel portion. When the movable partition is used as a wall, the upside skirt portions 31 and 31 are brought into contact with a ceiling surface 6, and the downside skirt portion 32 and 32 are brought into contact with a floor surface 7.
