PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable resin composition having a sufficiently high crystallization rate and good heat resistance. SOLUTION: The biodegradable resin composition comprises a biodegradable resin, a plasticizer, and a crystal nucleating agent, in which the plasticizer has 2 or more ester groups in its molecule, at least one type of alcohol component composing the ester is a compound produced via addition of an average between 0.5 and 5 moles of alkylene oxide having a carbon number ranging from 2 to 3 per hydroxy group, and the crystal nucleating agent is the mixture of a crystal nucleating agent (1) that is selected from among compounds having hydroxy and amide groups in its molecule and a crystal nucleating agent (2) that is selected from among metal salts of phosphate, metal salts of dialkyl ester of aromatic sulfonic acid, metal salts of rosin acids, aromatic carboxylic acid amides, rosin acid amides, carbohydrazides, N-substituted ureas, salts of melamine compounds, and uracils.
