PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater for a compressor enabling the easy installation of a sensor part measuring a refrigerant temperature in a heater for evaporating a liquid refrigerant flowing into a compressor and the compressor. SOLUTION: This compressor comprises a compressor casing, the sensor part in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the compressor casing, the heater surrounding the outer peripheral surface of the compressor casing and evaporating the liquid refrigerant flowing into the compressor, and a sensor installation part which is formed on the heater and on which the sensor part is mounted.
