PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat device having a load sensor with a simple structure and with a position of a seat restrained as low as possible, in a technique for detecting a load applied on a seat of an automobile. SOLUTION: This seat device comprises: a seat body; and a load sensor provided between the body and a vehicle side member supporting the seat body and detecting a load applied on the seat body. The load sensor can be moved relatively upward and downward by instruction means when a load is applied, comprises a shaft whose lateral displacement is restrained, and outputs signals according to its displacement volume when the shaft is relatively displaced upward and downward from a neutral position by the load. Then, the device comprises a member for uniforming transmission of the load, and support means including a plurality of strips elongated in a radial direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
