<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suitable structure to be mounted on a fuel cell vehicle in a vertically installed state (state where the cell laminating direction is made to coincide with the longitudinal direction of the vehicle). <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell 1 includes a cell laminate 3 in which cells 2 are laminated, an end plate 7 arranged at the end part of the cell laminate 3, and a terminal plate with an output terminal 5a for extracting the electric power generated in the cell laminate 3. An output cable 11, connected to the output terminal 5a, is pulled out from a position closer to the cell laminate 3 than to the end plate 7 toward the cell-laminating direction sideward of the cell laminate 3 and is protected by the end plate 7. In the end plate 7, a protective wall 7a to protecting the output cable 11 is formed.
