PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide active material particles for an electrode of an electrochemical device in which it is possible to realize the electrochemical device which has superior rapid charging and discharging characteristics.

SOLUTION: This is the active material particles for the electrode which contain the active material body and a conductive auxiliary agent that partly covers the surface of the active material body and has electrical conductivity, and which has a continuous layer, comprising the conductive auxiliary agent to cover 10 to 80% of the surface of the active material body.
