PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which can prevent water from rushing into the internal side of a cover. SOLUTION: When a cover 40 is fixed on a housing 10, shielding pieces 66U, 66S, arranged alongside an open mouth edge 42A which contacts with a rear surface 10A of the housing 10, are inserted into lightened portions 23U, 23S formed on the rear surface 10A. The shielding pieces 66U, 66S cover a gap between the open mouth edge 42A of the cover 40 and the rear surface 10A of the housing 10, and rushing of water into the inside of the cover 40 can be prevented.
