PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium having excellent storage properties, smoothness and electromagnetic transducing characteristics and to provide a radiation curing composition from which a cured product having excellent storage properties can be obtained. SOLUTION: In the magnetic recording medium wherein a radiation cured layer formed by curing a layer containing a radiation curing compound by irradiation with radiation and a magnetic layer formed by dispersing ferromagnetic powder in a binder are provided in this order on a non-magnetic supporting body, the radiation curing compound is a compound having a carbonate bond.
