PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk carrying mechanism coping with both of a large diameter disk and a small diameter disk. SOLUTION: The carrying mechanism comprises: a loading lever 51 and an ejection lever 52 for carrying the large diameter disk and the small diameter disk to the inside and outside of a device main body; a slider 54 provided with a loading cam for changing the turning range of the loading lever 51 and an ejection cam 115 for changing the turning range of the ejection lever 52 when the large diameter disk is inserted and when the small diameter disk is inserted; a slider driving means 56 for driving the slider 54; and a detection means for detecting the respective activation timings of the slider driving means 56 when the large diameter disk is inserted and when the small diameter disk is inserted.
