PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone management system collecting log files in a telephone switchboard at any place on a transmission line, and also ensuring a security function in a log file transmission. SOLUTION: When a log file of a LAN interface unit 11-1 desired, an IP address of a management apparatus 2A and a port number to be used are designated in the management apparatus 2A, a request to acquire the log file is transmitted from the management apparatus 2A to a telephone switchboard 1A via a public network PNW, a port corresponding to the designated port number of a firewall/router FW1 is opened in the telephone switchboard 1A, and the designated log file of the LAN interface unit 11-1 is transmitted through the designated port via the firewall/router FW1, an IP network INW and a firewall/router FW2.
